I think it’s safe to say that no sport, save perhaps men’s college basketball, has adopted the use of Twitter quite like cycling. There doesn’t seem to be an end to the list of racer-dudes who’ve picked up on the micro-blogging sensation and made it their own.

And, despite the reality that the most pertinent fact you can sometimes glean from these 140-character bits of wisdom is that Taylor Phinney does not, in fact, have a tongue ring, there’s plenty to love about cycling’s adoption of the Internet’s newest sensation.

Case in point, I bring you the above video, courtesy of SRAM’s Twitter account, “theroaddiaries,” which for the most part chronicles the component company’s wizards as they span the globe at various cycling functions, like say, the Giro.

Their posts are almost exclusively videos of one thing or another, with lots of live race footage and technical know-how taped and pasted onto the InterWebz. It’s great. I would suggest maximizing the video via the little square button, bottom left.

Moral(s) of the story: Get Twitter, and follow lots of cyclists and their friends.
