Been setting up the new hotness most of the day, so the lack of posting is once again entirely my fault. As a gift, I bring to you a post-10 p.m. rundown of cycling news, in link form, for your enjoyment.

Just click on the blue stuff.

—In the category of those who have been living under a rock, Denis Menchov won the Giro d’Italia this weekend, surviving a late crash. And he apparently spoke more than seven words post-victory. Good for him.

—Mark Cavendish wants to win the green jersey in this year’s Tour, instead of dropping out like he did last year. Shocking admission, that.

In the world of serious news, we at PBT will be shocked if he doesn’t.

—While Astana’s overall future is uncertain, Lance Armstrong himself hasn’t committed to TdF 2010, though next year’s Giro is on the calendar. But Armstrong might be taking control of Astana. And here, just so you can’t say this little blurb didn’t send you home empty-handed. Or empti-handed, I’m not sure.

—Taylor Phinney is conquering the world, in case you hadn’t heard. He’s doing it on this.

Awesome. Just plain awesome.
