In the world of “could have seen that coming,” there have been fewer constants more reliable in cycling over the last 10 months than Mark Cavendish’s prodigious talent in the last few hundred meters of a stage. The cheeky Brit did it again today, winning stage 13 of the Giro as though it was somehow just his job. Wait…
Anyway, this is starting to get silly.
This is Cavendish’s third win in this year’s Giro (not counting High Road’s TTT in stage one) and fifth in his career at that race. Add those to his four stage wins at last year’s TdF, two at the ToC this winter and his win at the 2009 Milan-Sanremo, and Mark Cavendish is basically faster with a bike between his legs than any other man on the planet.
