Thank you, Michael Rogers, master of the TwitterFon, for your fearless, faithful micro-blogging about the peloton’s micro-race today, justifying the decision to turn Stage 9 of the Giro d’Italia into a windy Bs race. And Thomas Voeckler still didn’t win.

In case you missed it, the old boys disappointed the tifosi today with their decision to test out their sweet group-riding skills in protest of a course they viewed as too dangerous (ummm, really?).

Still, Rogers brings up some good points while plying his mad tweeting skills:

Funny that everyone is blaming the riders for our protest today. No one mentions the parked cars on the circuit, the on coming traffic, tram tracks in the middle of corners, people walking onto the circuit.

Organizer’s weren’t happy, but when it takes you 30 minutes to locate a rider who fell 150 feet down from a course after many riders labeled some of last week’s finishes unsafe, bargaining chips and public support are hard to come by.

Translation: Deal with it. No bucks, no Buck Rogers. And you, Angelo Zomegnan, are no Buck Rogers.
